“Frame house” is located in a suburban area of Ioannina City, Greece, on a site which counts no more than 80 m2. In this two-storey family house concrete meets an interplay with metal and wood. We approached the design with views and light in mind as much as functionality and privacy.

The interior is a blend of concrete and wood that creates a harmonious living space. The concrete walls and floors of the house give off a sleek and contemporary feeling, while the wooden shutters allow for the perfect balance of natural illumination and privacy.

This way, they don’t serve exclusively as a design element, but they also create an interplay with light inside the space. When opened, they let in an abundance of sunlight, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. When closed, they provide a cozy and intimate ambiance, perfect for relaxing evenings.
