Hosted amongst centuries-old olive groves in the Paxos Island countryside, one of the  smallest of the Ionian Islands off the west coast of mainland Greece, “Conte Case” proves that simplicity can make a powerful architectural statement. The project, conceived as a small hamlet, consists of three independent houses, each one with its own pool, which are designed to set in among the old dry-stone walls.  The olive grove is maintained to its original form and the volumes of the houses are designed to coexist harmoniously with the olive trees and the relief of the field.

The luxury villas are designed as houses that can also be rented, putting outdoor summer living and connecting to nature a high priority of the designing procedure.
